With the news he’s out for the season and contract ending in the summer that’s him done.
So what’s your favourite Andrew Carroll moment?
For me the goal at Chelsea away, we was on a great run and for 20 minutes I actually thought we was going to beat them. I went absolutely mad in the away end. It was such a good moment.
I know he’s been injured for most of his time at West Ham, but he has had some great games for us.

The home against Chelsea during the last season at the Boleyn when we won 2-1, and they had Matic sent off and Mourinho sent to the stands.
It made his transfer and wages worth it just for that game, IMO.

yeah that gaol at chelsea was class.
I hope we can just shake hands and move on . no reason to slag him off but 7 years and the return on him, plus no transfer fee is fucking shocking- so expect us to offer him a new contract in the hope that we can sell him for some bunce

We'll either offer him a new contract, and he'll be almost permanently injured, and crap when he's not

we'll let him go, only to discover that his last operation has completely cured him, and he'll start banging them in, including several for his new club against us

Honestly his first game for us against Fulham.
Looked like a fucking beast who was going to rip it up for us. What a comedy foreshadow of things to come that he went off injured.
Other than that, the hat trick against Arsenal, the last minute goal from an acute angle against Stoke(?) last season and THAT goal against Palace.
I always really hoped he'd be the player he threatened to be in that debut and sporadically afterwards and was very willing to give him time, but he just never stayed fit and will go down in hindsight as a very bad business decision. Was he properly ever even over that big injury at the end of his loan season?
